Big Lukes was the first ever 'All you can eat' buffet in Newcastle. When Big Lukes opened in 1990 it proved to be an immediate recipe for success.

By offering great value quality food for friends and family Big Lukes pioneered the way for a new fun and friendly eating experience.

Metrocentre

Metrocentre Restaurants

Originally in Bath Lane, Newcastle upon Tyne we moved to the popular MetroCentre's Blue Quadrant in 1998 bringing the fabulous quality and value recipe to the MetroCentre.

Inspired again by our popularity we opened in the Mediterranean village in 2003. The Med village was renamed 'The Studio' in 2004 but has now been renamed back to the Med Village after customer confusion! Big Lukes are the only 'All you can eat' restaurants within the MetroCentre.

We feel MetroCentre customers genuinely appreciate our efforts at keeping our prices friendly and the quality of our food so high. Both restaurants are located ideally to enjoy a well deserved break, during a hard day of shopping or a leisure trip to the cinema, bowling or any of the other great treats the MetroCentre has on offer.

Our Food

The Food

Originally based on an American style "All you can eat" buffet, Big Lukes prides itself on the variety and quality of its food. At Big Luke's we are proud for only using fresh ingredients.

Our dishes are all prepared fresh on site every day of the week. We do not use any 'ready' meals, we cook all our own food to our own successful recipes.

This always ensures great quality and a full balanced nutritional value. We provide a choice of freshly cooked foods to include starters, main course and deserts. You can enjoy from a feast of items including, BBQ chicken, spicy chilli, grilled burgers, onion rings, corn on the cob and fresh salads. We are proud to offer great, healthy food with superior service all at exceptional value.

Our Team

Our Team

We are proud of our restaurants and especially proud of the people that work in them. Without our team we are nothing and Big Lukes success is so much to do with our incredible staff.

'We treat everybody special' says Amanda Webster, general manager of Big Lukes Restaurants since 1998.

'It's important to look after people the best you can, it costs nothing to add an extra smile and I know our customers and staff appreciate the extra effort we put in'. Big Lukes is always looking for people who want to help us do our best. We offer great pay and are a genuinely nice company to work for.
